chess comp=true and Google Chrome

Post by Skramble » Sun May 21, 2017 3:31 am

Have not tested everything your plugin can do yet, but did find an issue when only chess comp=true is run with Google Chrome

Browser:
Google Chrome
Version 58.0.3029.110 (64-bit)

Error:
Loading Stockfish JS
StockfishJS loaded. Loading Opening Book

A dialog box hangs on the top of the board with the above error.

Strange part, all of the other computer assisted parts of your plugin seem to work perfectly in Chrome.

Chrome is the only browser affected. Works fine in IE, Edge, Firefox, and Opera.

Not a huge deal on my end, just a heads up.

Ken,

Do you have a test link which you could post(either here or in a private message) which shows the problem?

I have tested the comp toggle with Google Chrome at it works when I test it, so it might be related to other things.

Thanks

Looks like a problem with WordPress 4.7.5

Seeing other people having issues with WP and Chrome on the WordPress support forums.

Just spotted other issues between Chrome and WordPress, so no Chrome until next patch

I also experienced some issues after upgrading to 4.7.5, so that could be the case :)
